Jan. 1^st	Happy New Year! It's on Wednesday!
Ahhhhh!! The peace and quiet! The highway is usually sanded if snow flakes fall with cross-country skiing and snow shoeing just north of us. Wake up to powdered sugar on the evergreens across the lake and maybe at your doorstep! Cabins 10, 11 & 12 have woodstoves for added cozy feeling.

Feb. 14^th-Thursday	Valentine's Day
Feb 2nd	Bring your Polar Bear Plunge donation receipt to Lake Cushman Resort for cabin discount on 02.02.13 www.lakecushman.com
Feb. 18th	Presidents' Day
First Saturday in February 10AM - 2 PM	Polar Bear Plunge, Hoodsport dock Sat. from 10am-2pm. Local law enforcement, fire service & EMS folks will take the plunge for a minimum $25 donation. Proceeds shared among local non-profit organizations (e.g. local fire department, Search & Rescue, etc.) Civilians may plunge as well! Bring your donation receipt for cabin discount. April 20th 9AM to 3 PM Up Hwy 119 <1.5 miles turn Rt onto Foothills Rd.	Foothills Park First Annual Spring Clean Up....Bring your gloves and help us weed, whack, mow, trim, paint, (install playground equipment?), and in general spruce up the ball field, basketball court and picnic area. Meet the new Park Host. Enjoy a picnic BBQ lunch. Donate a few hours of your time and enjoy a discount off your stay at the Resort that weekend. See you there!

Earth Day thru Mother's Day	Weekend Traveler Days from Union to Hoodsport with tour of lodging, wine tasting & artist fair.

June 16th Happy Father's Day	Annual Father's Day Benefit Pancake Breakfast @ Cushman Fire Hall (District 18) 8AM - Noon

Fireworks 1st Saturday in July

Hoodsport Celebration with daily Street Fair, wine tasting & live music. Catch Saturday's shuttle bus at the Maintenance building. Fliers available in our office. Live auction on Saturday from 1-3 PM followed by . Kapowsin Skydive drop in at 3:30. Fireworks on Saturday night.

August 18	Taste of Hood Canal
August 17/18th	12th annual Hood Canal Salmon Derby. $1000 1st prize, 2nd prize $750, 3rd prize $500, plus all those door prizes. BBQ Saturday night in Hoodsport. Free Kid's Derby. Visit www.sschapterpsa.com for more info.
